Letters / Embraced by majority
In response to Victor Drosso’s letter: Calm down, SN, 18 May 13: It is obviously too much to hope that any renewable energy projects coming to Shetland could be conceived in such a way so that they are embraced by a majority of the population; rather than in the divisive fashion that has characterised the VE project from day one.
I think, given Sustainable Shetland has only around 800 members and the number of objections to the project was around 3,000, it’s safe to say that the majority of the population had embraced the thought of an renewable energy project coming to Shetland.
Or maybe my calculator is broken?
