Hundreds of homes in Whalsay lose power
LARGE parts of Whalsay have lost power this morning (Monday).
Around 276 properties in the island are thought to have been affected by the outage, which was first reported just before 10am.
SSEN said the outage had been caused by a fault with the overhead network.
Engineers are on their way to the island and are expected to arrive at around 12pm.
SSEN hopes to restore power to all homes by 1.30pm this afternoon.
