THE HROSSEY arrived later into Lerwick this morning (Tuesday) after turning back to Aberdeen on last night’s sailing.

It is understood that passengers were told the boat turned back due to a medical emergency on board.

It had reached the waters off Peterhead before heading back to Aberdeen.

The Hrossey made good progress overnight after leaving the Granite City again, and as of 7.30am this morning she was approaching the Sumburgh Head area.

NorthLink has been contacted for comment.
