Energy / Supply restored after thousands lose power

AROUND 3,600 properties in Shetland lost power this morning (Sunday), according to the SSEN website.

Initially SSEN told customers shortly before 7am that it aimed to restore power by 11pm, but supply was back on by around half seven.

The Power Track website said the fault related to the overhead network. Among the areas affected included Scalloway and parts of the South Mainland.
