Transport / Passenger sailings cancelled for next two nights, NorthLink announces
BOTH TONIGHT’s (Tuesday) and Wednesday night’s passenger sailings have been cancelled, NorthLink has announced.
It comes amid forecasts for high winds and a yellow weather warning for snow, which comes into force at 6pm tonight.
With the Hjaltland now in dry dock, the Hrossey sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick tonight has been cancelled.
And the return journey scheduled for Wednesday night has also now been called off.
Tonight’s freight sailings of the Helliar and Hildasay have been cancelled too, with Wednesday night’s freight journeys under review “with a high probability of cancellation”.
NorthLink has said disruption could continue through to Monday 9 February.
The yellow snow warning is in place from 6pm tonight until 11.59pm on Wednesday evening.
