Transport / NorthLink warns of minor travel disruption over weekend
NORTHLINK has said there will be minor transport disruption to its ferries over the next two nights.
The Hrossey will sail from Lerwick for Kirkwall and Aberdeen at 5.30pm tonight (Friday), and both arrivals could be “subject to minor weather related delays”.
Freight boat Helliar is only expected to arrive into Lerwick at 3pm, and will only sail for Aberdeen once she has been unloaded and loaded again.
Her arrival into Aberdeen on Saturday could be delayed by up to three hours.
On Saturday night the Hjaltland will leave Lerwick an hour early, at 6pm, and her arrival into Aberdeen on Sunday could also be delayed by an hour.
The freight vessel Hildasay will leave Lerwick three hours early – at 2pm – on Saturday, but is due to arrive into Aberdeen on time on Sunday.
The Helliar may be an hour late arriving into Lerwick on Sunday.
NorthLink has said further disruption could follow through to Wednesday 17 December.
