Transport / Hjaltland’s Aberdeen arrival delayed by hours due to fog
THE NORTHLINK passenger ferry Hjaltland was a number of hours late in arriving into Aberdeen today (Saturday) as poor visibility from fog restricted access into the harbour.
The boat, which had come from Lerwick/Kirkwall, was due to arrive in Aberdeen at 7am but after waiting in the waters outside the port she only berthed at around 2.30pm.
Also in the same situation was the NorthLink freight boat Helliar, which similarly had to wait before making it into the harbour.
