Man appears in private

A MAN from North Yorkshire appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday on four charges including rape.

Anthony McElhone, 69, was also charged with indecent assault and indecent behaviour towards someone aged between 12 and 16.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
