Transport / NorthLink weather disruption
NORTHLINK ferry services to and from Shetland are set to be affected in the coming days due to the weather.
Tonight’s (Sunday) northbound passenger sailing will now leave Aberdeen an hour early at 4pm, and it will no longer call in Kirkwall.
The estimated time of arrival in Lerwick is the early hours of Monday morning.
There are also warnings of disruption to Monday’s southbound sailing.
The Kirkwall stop-off is under review with a high probability of cancellation, while the Hjaltland may leave Lerwick at 9pm. A further update is to follow.
Meanwhile the Hrossey is now back in Scotland after being in dry dock in England and is due to return to service shortly.
