Community / Family walks a million steps in memory of much-loved Mowgli
A FAMILY from Vidlin have chalked up over one million steps in March to remember a beloved pet and raise money for Cats Protection.
Mandy Robertson lost her much-loved Maine coon Mowgli unexpectedly at the beginning of the year and decided to run a step challenge in his memory.
Mandy was joined by her sister Louise Manson and Shamim Robertson and they comfortably exceeded their target by Thursday (31 March).
After covering a combined 1.4 million steps – a distance of around 625 miles – they have so far raised £340 for the feline charity.
The online fundraising page is still open, and people can donate through this link.
