Weather / Buses cancelled in icy conditions

No injuries in two car accident north of Voe on Wednesday afternoon

A NUMBER of bus services have been cancelled this morning (Thursday) due to the wintry weather.

Early runs on buses between Walls and Lerwick, and Aith and the town, were cancelled.

Public bus services nine and 12 are unable to pick up west of Tresta.

There are no school buses for Gulberwick and Sound, to Anderson High School and Sound Primary, or in North Nesting.

The snowy and icy weather has seen a number of vehicles go off the road on Wednesday, including a two-car crash at  around 3.45pm on the A970 north of Voe. No-one was injured.
