Community / Lerwick lane reopens nearly two years after fire

A LERWICK lane reopened to the public this week nearly two years after being closed off following a fatal house fire.

Burns Lane was shut off in February 2019 due to the level of structural damage to the property.

However, the lane – which runs down from the old swimming pool car park to the street opposite M&Co – has now reopened.

The fire damaged house recently went on the market with a price of offers over £50,000, and it is now currently under offer.
