Community / District heating scheme to shut down to allow for essential repairs

HEATING and hot water will be disrupted for a number of properties in Lerwick tonight (Tuesday) due to urgent unplanned maintenance on the district heating system.

Services will be affected from 10pm.

Shetland Heat Energy and Power said it will “do everything possible to get things up and running again as quickly as possible”.

The areas affected are:

  • All of Sound
  • North Lochside
  • Bruce Crescent
  • AHS
  • Hostel
  • Clickimin
  • Hayfield Lane
  • Robertson Crescent
  • HBC
  • Leslie Road
  • Goodlad Crescent
  • Cairnfield Road
  • Russell Crescent
  • Clickimin Road
  • South Lochside
