THREE fire crews were called out to a kitchen fire in Lerwick early on Saturday morning.

Two appliances from Lerwick and one from Scalloway arrived on the scene just after 3.45am after reports of a cooker fire in a first floor flat on St Magnus Street.

The fire was extinguished on arrival and damage was confined to the cooker hood and a cupboard.
