News / Healthy Shetland

A NEW website promoting healthy living in Shetland was launched on Friday.

The Healthy Shetland website has been produced by NHS Shetland’s health improvement team with the aim to create a hub of accessible, reliable health information for local people.

Astryd Jamieson said the health improvement team wanted to assist islanders in making informed decisions about their health.

“With web pages on topics such as exercise, healthy eating, mental health and much more, and dedicated pages for families and older adults, the website caters for everyone.

“If there is anything else you think should be included please do let us know,” she said.

There will also be a new quarterly e-newsletter, the team’s Facebook site and a new twitter feed to get updates on local health events, health tips and training dates.
