FIRE crews from Lerwick and Scalloway were called out to deal with a house fire in Burra shortly before 8am on Tuesday.

Firefighters used a short extension ladder, hand tools and a thermal imaging camera to deal with the incident, where fire damage was caused to the sitting room wall of the one and a half storey house.

The fire was fully extinguished by 9.15 am and there was no one hurt.
