A YELL man admitted assaulting a woman in a car and causing a breach of the peace when he appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Darren Robertson, aged 46, of 8 Sunnyside, Mid Yell, pled guilty to repeatedly poking the woman’s chest, slapping her in the face and striking her on the head.
He also admitted shouting, swearing and making threats at his home and while in the car on the way from his home to nearby Clingra Park on Tuesday.
Sentence was deferred until 17 October for background reports to be carried out.
