News / Hjaltland to leave early
DUE TO south easterly gales and high seas the NorthLink passenger ferry Hjaltland will leave Lerwick four and a half hours earlier than scheduled.
The ferry company has just announced that the south bound ferry will leave for Kirkwall at 1pm where she is expected to arrive at 6pm.
Arrival time in Aberdeen is expected at 7am on Thursday morning although delays may be possible.
The northbound sailing of the Hrossey is not affected and is scheduled to depart Aberdeen for Lerwick at 7pm.
The sailing of the cargo vessel Hildasay, scheduled to leave Lerwick for Aberdeen at 3pm, has also been cancelled.
The northbound sailing of the Helliar meanwhile will only go to Kirkwall, leaving Aberdeen at 5pm as scheduled.
