Letters / Huge renewables – easy!
As Scotland hits it’s 40 per cent target for renewable-produced electricity the SNP’s energy minister, Fergus Ewing, also announces that Scottish and Southern Energy’s massive hydro power station near Spean Bridge gets the green light to produce 10 per cent of our country’s entire electricity needs.
With the ability to store 30 gigawatts hours of electricity, it is not only the most powerful in Scotland, but unique in Britain for the ability to feed the national grid for up to 50 hours continuously with a generating capacity of 600MW.
Huge renewable, clean-energy projects by Scottish Hydro (SSE) from initial idea to sign off. Easy.
Yours faithfully
