THE SHETLAND Chiropractic reserve league kicked off on Wednesday night with five matches across the isles. Here’s how they fared.
Celtic B 1 – 3 Delting B
A Danny Carter double and Stuart Lavender goal were enough to secure a win for the Delts. Ross Groat replied for Celtic.
Mossbank 3 – 2 Yell
Mossbank started their debut season in the league in winning form through John Hutchison and a brace for Nathan MacDonald. Yell scorers were Iain Macleod and Stephen Saunders.
Ness Utd B 4 – 3 Scalloway B
Jamie Robertson, Kyle Malcolmson, Steven Smith and Sean Bell got the goals for the home side while Danny Pirie, John-Brian Adamson and an own-goal were consolation for Scalloway.
Whalsay 3 – 1 Thistle B
The boys from the Boannie Isle kick their season off with three points through goals from Ritchie Hutchison and two from Bryan Irvine.
Spurs B 2 – 3 Whitedale B
Whitedale came through with goals from Jamie Wilson (2) and Martin Binns. Spurs replied through Darren Johnston and Dale Keith.
