Transport / Freight sailings cancelled with Thursday’s services under review
TONIGHT’S (Wednesday) freight sailings have now been cancelled by NorthLink.
The sailings of the Helliar and Hildasay had been under review, but NorthLink confirmed this morning that those were now called off.
There could be more disruption on Thursday too, with sailings currently under review.
NorthLink said the Hrossey‘s sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick, which is due to leave at 5pm tomorrow, could have a late departure.
Both freight sailings are also again being reviewed, with an update to follow tomorrow morning.
It comes amid a lengthy period of disruption to ferry services caused by the weather, and with the passenger ferry Hjaltland currently in dry dock.
A yellow Met Office weather warning for snow remains in place until 11.59pm tonight.
