SHETLAND Islands Council says the Yell Sound ferry service will be operating with a single vessel tomorrow (Monday), with a number of runs cancelled.

The service will be running to the shift timetable with bookings available.

The following runs have been cancelled:

Ulsta to Toft: 0745, 0845, 0945, 1600 and 1655.

Toft to Ulsta: 0815, 0915, 1630 and 1730.

Anyone booked on these cancelled runs should contact the booking office on 01595 745804 to rebook.

The booking office is open today (Sunday) until 6pm, reopening tomorrow morning at 7.45am.

It comes after Yell Sound operated a single vessel service on 23 and 24 December as a result of crew shortages.

Meanwhile the Whalsay service was single vessel yesterday (27 December) due to crew shortage.
