Entertainment / Young promoters return with all-ages gig

THE SHETLAND Young Promoters Group is hosting an all-ages gig at Mareel next weekend.

Topping the bill will be pop-punk covers band (the) 3310, with Dominic Bogle and Operation Shovel on the bill too.

The night, entitled Groovy!, is being held in the Mareel auditorium on Friday (10 October).

The young promoters group said it is the second of three events it is hosting “showcasing top local talent and unforgettable vibes”.

It follows a gig the group put on at Mareel for children aged under ten in July.

The gig is set to take place between 7pm and 10pm, and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by someone who is at least 18.

Tickets for the event – priced at £8.25/£5.50 – can be bought online or at Mareel.

Meanwhile anyone interested in Shetland Young Promoters Group is invited to attend their AGM later this month.

It is taking place on Friday 24 October at 4pm in Mareel’s education space.
