BBC Filming / Lerwick Sheriff Court in the centre of filming activities

FILMING scenes for the next instalment of the popular Shetland crime drama will focus on Lerwick Sheriff Court on Tuesday (1 July).

Parking restrictions will be in place on King Erik St and St Olaf St between 4pm and 7pm to facilitate the parking of production vehicles while filming at the court building.

Stop/Go traffic holds may be in place to allow the safe filming of exterior scenes. These holds will be kept to an absolute minimum and traffic will be allowed to flow freely as much as possible.

Affected streets are as follows:

  • King Erik St
  • King Harald St
  • St Olaf St
  • Lower Hillhead
  • Hillhead
  • Aitkens Pl / Market St

Parking restrictions and a Stop/Go traffic hold will also be in place to facilitate the parking of the production team’s larger tech vehicles and manage the traffic safely around them.

These restrictions will be in the vicinity of the junctions with Stanegarth, Grostane and Staney Hill  between 8am and 4pm on 1 July.

The team apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
