Letters / Energy transition a mistake?

Here we are in the depths of winter, minus 18.9C in Altnaharra.

Solar Panels covered in snow.

Scraping the ice off our cars for weeks on end.

The highest electricity prices in the world.

Pensioners frozen.

Gas supplies running out.

Perilously close to blackouts.

The entire wind industry barely able to supply the National Grid with 10 per cent.

Wind farms raking in £400 million each year for NOT supplying electricity!

Landscapes trashed.

Birds, bats and insects decimated.

Local opposition ignored.

Infrasound damaging health.

So, where is Milibands “Nine Times Cheaper” electricity?

To cap it all, prominent German energy expert Dr Lars Schernikau has just admitted: “The energy transition in its current form, as a grid-scale build out of wind and solar with the goal to replace oil, coal and gas, is probably one of the greatest mistakes that humanity has ever made.”
