Emergency services / Crews tackle Yell house fire in early hours

FOUR fire appliances from across the north of Shetland were sent to a house fire in Yell in the early hours of Friday morning.

The fire service confirmed that no casualties were reported following the fire in Gloup.

The alarm was raised at around 3.45am, with two appliances sent from Brae, one from Hillswick and one from Unst. The fire was extinguished.

The fire service said at 9.30am on Friday morning that two appliances remained on scene.
