News / Police investigate spate of Lerwick incidents
POLICE are investigating a trio of incidents alleged to have taken place in Lerwick at the weekend.
A Swarovski telescope and a pair of binoculars were stolen from a van parked on King Alfred Street.
The theft, from a Citreon Berlingo with Shetland Seabird Tours livery, is said to have taken place between 2pm on Sunday and 10am on Monday.
A quantity of tools and property, meanwhile, were stolen from inside a Volkswagen Caddy Maxi after the van was taken without permission.
The vehicle was moved from St Olaf St to Staney Hill at some point between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on Sunday.
Finally, an orange Mini Cooper car was damaged while parked near to the Tasty Hong Kong takeaway on Commercial Road on Sunday evening.
