A WOMAN was taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick on Thursday morning as a precaution after the car she was driving left the A971 road around a mile west of Tingwall airstrip.

Police were alerted to the road traffic collision at about 9.15am. No other road users were involved in the accident.
