Letters / Expendable?
“The Scottish fishing industry has been treated as expendable by the Tory government in the past – using our resources as a bargaining chip when entering the EEC in the 1970’s. We must not allow the Tories to sell us down the river yet again.” So says the SNP MSP Stewart Stevenson.
So perhaps Douglas Young, author of the letter Incompetence (SN, 24/01/17) can – with Brexit in mind – spell out, with absolute clarity, the SNP’s plans for the future of the Scottish fishing fleet sailing under the flag of an independent Scotland?
