News / Fire fighters free finger from hospital door
FIRE FIGHTERS were called out to Lerwick’s Gilbert Bain Hospital on Thursday to free a person’s finger which had become trapped in a door.
One appliance of the town’s crew attended the hospital at around 3.45pm after receiving reports of a digit being stuck in a hinge.
A hacksaw was used to cut the hinge and free the finger.
