News / Art fundraiser for refugees
AN ART exhibition and auction is taking place in Shetland later this month to raise funds to help tackle the global refugee crisis.
Shetland Supports Refugees is staging the exhibition in Room 16 at Islesburgh Community Centre on Saturday 25 June. Viewing begins at 11am and the auction, organised by Wendy Sinclair, will start at 6pm.
Entries are to be handed in to the Lerwick Town Hall office by 20 June for sorting. Entrants are asked to state that the pieces are for the exhibition/auction and attach the name of the donor, artwork and artist.
All proceeds raised will go to Re-Act Scotland, a not-for-profit humanitarian aid project launched in response to the worldwide refugee crisis.
