News / Gulberwick crash
A MAN was taken to hospital in the early hours of Thursday after his car left the road and went down an embankment in Gulberwick.
Police were alerted to the one-vehicle road accident at around 12.20am after a Ford Focus left the A970 below the Black Gaet junction.
The driver managed to leave the car and was later taken to Lerwick’s Gilbert Bain Hospital, but he had no injuries.
One appliance from the Lerwick fire and rescue team attended the scene following the crash to help search for the casualty.
