Letters / Silver lining
If Brian Nugent is having to highlight the fact that the union flag was flown upside down for part of the day at the Cunningsburgh show, it is obvious that he is trying to deflect from the fact that the Yes campaign will lose the vote by a considerable margin next month (Upside down; SN, 18/08/14)
Perhaps he should instead be relieved that the No vote winning the day will not only hasten the end of Alex Salmond’s political career but will mean that Scotland will not need to put forth an entry into the Eurovision song contest.
Every cloud has a silver lining, Brian.
