A VIRKIE man has admitted driving while more than three times the alcohol limit when appearing from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court, on Monday.

Kevin Burgess, of Greenlea, in Toab, was stopped on Sunday on Church Road in Lerwick.

The 45-year old also pled guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards police officers.

Sentence was deferred until 14 November for reports.
