Letters / Excellent poll for the pro wind farm camp
In reply to Allen Fraser (Wind farms will devastate Shetland tourism, SN, 5 Nov.12)
Question 3 asks: “Would you be more or less likely to visit a scenic area which has a large concentration of turbines, or would it make no difference?”
48 per cent said it would make no difference and 2 per cent said more likely. Going by their calculations, for19,603,200 people it would make no difference and 816,800 would be more likely to visit.
That’s a fair figure of British tourists for Shetland to attract. Excellent poll for the Pro Wind Farm Camp.
