Christine Ferguson’s (The SIC’s corporate director for community care services) confession that the average cost of a ‘meal on wheels’ was £25 is an appalling revelation.

In view of the similar proposed charge to feed a teenager for five days at the Anderson hostels, this seems to be an admission of almost total incompetence by her department.

Perhaps however this means that the real cost at the hostels is nearer £250?
