Transport / All Friday sailings likely to be cancelled, NorthLink warns
NORTHLINK has said that all of its ferry services on Friday night are likely to be cancelled due to the adverse forecast.
The passenger sailings of both the Hrossey and Hjaltland are under review, with a “high probability of cancellation”.
The two freight sailings of the Helliar and Hildasay are likewise being reviewed, with cancellation likely.
An update is set to follow this afternoon (Thursday), NorthLink said.
Meanwhile the northbound sailing’s arrival into Kirkwall tonight could be delayed by up to one hour.
The Hjaltland has also been delayed arriving into Lerwick this morning, with the vessel making her way into the harbour at around 9.30am.
