News / Enquiries ongoing after man found dead in ‘unexplained’ incident in Lerwick
POLICE say enquiries are ongoing after a man was found dead in a property in Lerwick’s Hillhead area on Wednesday night.
Emergency services were called to the area at around 6.45pm, with police cars and ambulances both on the scene quickly.
Parts of the Hillhead road were closed off to drivers on Wednesday evening as a result.
Police Scotland said that it had been made aware of the death of a man in the Hillhead area on Wednesday night.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing,” a spokesperson added.
