News / Lerwick theft
POLICE are on the lookout for information after receiving reports that mail, a rucksack and a lamp was stolen from a building in Lerwick.
The alleged theft took place in the communal area of a property in the Hillhead area between Friday 14 October and Tuesday 18 October.
Police said it is possible that the culprit, or culprits, may have used a vehicle to remove the items.
Anyone with information of suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact Lerwick Police Station on 101 or in person.
Police also took the opportunity to remind locals that items kept outside should be secure and if possible out of sight.
