Police / Emergency services respond after reports of man taking unwell

POLICE say an elderly man has died after emergency services were called to an incident at the A971 in Weisdale today (Wednesday).

Emergency services were called to the Kalliness area earlier today to respond to reports of a man taking unwell.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said the 83-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious, and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal,” they added.
