ROYAL Voluntary Service offered around 140 people an opportunity to enjoy a Christmas feast at the Lerwick Legion on Tuesday.

The voluntary organisation welcomed in both clients and volunteers to the annual dinner, which also featured live music from Peter Hutchison and friends.

The two-course meal was provided free of charge to the service’s clients, who were taken to the Legion by bus and taken home after enjoying some friendship and music.

Shetland service co-ordinator Claire Ward gave a huge thanks to the Delting, Burra, Sandwick, Cunningsburgh, Sandness and Walls and Lerwick community councils for supporting them again this year with funding, along with the Rotary Club.
