BBC Filming / Crime drama scenes to be filmed around Tingwall Kirk this afternoon

Aerial view of a rural area showing two marked points on a road indicating where a car should stop and go. Surrounding landscape includes fields, a few buildings, and intersecting roads.

ITV Shetland plans to film some drone related driving scenes for the new series of Shetland today (Friday 21 June) in the area of the Tingwall valley – specifically in the area of the Tingwall Kirk and graveyard – between 2pm and 5pm this afternoon.

To do this safely and securely the production team has been granted a very temporary ‘stop/go’ traffic control measure in that area during this time. These will however only last for a few minutes at a time while actual filming takes place.

Access will be maintained of course, especially for any emergency vehicles.

ITV Shetland apologises for any slight delay or disruption this may cause but sincerely thanks anyone impacted on by this for their patience and co-operation.

Should you have any issues with this please contact Davie Gardner on 07867 654 509.
