Emergency services / Emergency services called out to Bressay crash
A MAN was taken to hospital on Sunday morning following a road accident in Bressay which was attended by a number of emergency services.
The police, ambulance and fire services, as well as the coastguard, were called out following the incident at around 9.30am.
A spokesperson for the coastguard said the Sumburgh based helicopter was sent out, as well as the Lerwick coastguard rescue team.
They said the 41-year-old was rescued by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and transferred to hospital by ambulance.
The fire service said three appliances, from Bressay and Lerwick, attended the scene.
