Police / Enquiries continue after man was struck by vehicle at the weekend
A THIRTY three year old man was taken to hospital in the early hours of Sunday after having been struck by a vehicle in Lerwick.
Police said the incident happened on South Road, Sandveien, at just before 1am.
A police spokesperson said:“The 33-year-old male pedestrian remains in Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
“The male driver of the car was not injured.”
