Council / Councillors appointed to assist recruitment of new health and social care chief
THREE councillors have been appointed to a panel which will oversee the recruitment of a new director of community health and social care in Shetland.
The post has become vacant after former holder Brian Chittick was appointed chief executive of NHS Shetland.
At a meeting of the full Shetland Islands Council on Wednesday, Emma Macdonald, John Fraser and Liz Peterson were appointed to a panel for the recruitment exercise.
The panel will be involved in final interviews for the selection of a successful candidate.
The post is a joint job across Shetland Islands Council and NHS Shetland.
As such the panel will also include three NHS board members.
