Election / Polls open in west by-election
POLLS are now open in the Shetland West council by-election.
Polling stations are open until 10pm, with votes due to be counted at Lerwick Town Hall on Friday morning.
Three candidates are in the running – the Greens’ Debra Nicolson, independent Mark Robinson and the SNP’s Zara Pennington.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of John Leask.
Shetland News will be reporting live from the count on Friday morning.
