Police / Road closed after ordnance found at Scatsta

POLICE are attending a report of ordnance being found at Scatsta.

Due to this there is a temporary road closure of the B9076 at Scatsta Airport, effectively closing the road between Brae and Mossbank areas.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of potential ordnance found near Scatsta airfield on the B9076 in Shetland around 10.50am on Thursday, 13 August.

“Officers have implemented a cordon to ensure there is no risk to the public and are liaising with the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team.”
