Police / Police make drink and drug driving arrests
TWO people in Shetland were arrested in connection with alleged drink and drug driving offences at the weekend.
A 31-year-old man was charged with drink driving and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in due course.
A 48-year-old man was stopped and arrested for alleged drug driving. Enquiries remain ongoing until further forensic tests are concluded, police said.
PC Calum Macaulay from the road policing team at Dingwall said: “We all have a part to play in keeping ourselves and others on the road safe.
“Anyone who drink or drug drives puts their safety, and that of innocent members of the public, at significant risk.”
