Emergency services / Police investigate supermarket theft

POLICE are looking information after receiving a report of a man stealing items from the Lerwick Co-op on Tuesday morning.

Officers said the man was seen taking items from display and concealing them within a backpack at around 11am.

The man was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans, while he is of medium build with a dark short length beard and a receding hairline.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55111.
