A WOMAN was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a house in Lerwick overnight.

Two appliances from Lerwick and one from Scalloway were tasked shortly after midnight to the fire on St Magnus Street.

Jets and breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire in the lobby area of the property, with the incident over by around 1.15am.

Fire control said one person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and that an ambulance was in attendance.
